The Rooney House is licensed by the State of New Jersey as a class C boarding house.
The facility number is 0217-0008.  Director Patricia Rooney has successfully
completed the NJ Department of Human Services course 'The Core Curriculum of the Residential Care Operator Training Program" (view certificate).

References are available upon request. One reference is from Mr. Larry Gatson, whose Aunt Francine is a resident of the Rooney House. Mr. Gatson writes:

"Francine lives in Ms. Rooney's home and she is treated like one of the family. Ms. Rooney provides a safe and clean environment for Francine and she fixes her healthy and nutritious meals each day. She pays close attention to Francine and knows when Francine is having an "off day". She knows what signs to look for and what questions to ask to determine if a health practitioner needs to be called. She also knows medical terminology and how to converse with a doctor and obtain the information she needs to take care of Francine.

Ms. Rooney has a very positive and upbeat personality, and it is clear she really enjoys taking care of people. She is professional when the situation calls for it and  "down home" the rest of the time. I find as she talks with Francine, she is always talking WITH her, not AT her. She is caring and compassionate, with Francine's best interests uppermost in her mind.

I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Rooney and her home to anyone who is considering using her services. I have been extremely happy with the care my cousin has received from Ms. Rooney, and I feel very fortunate to have found her.
